Coxx chassis are characterized by high quality, diverse capabilities and standard many extras. Also service and after-sales are our top priority.
History
The grandfather of Rene Cox - Alphons Cox – founded a company in 1916 as a manufacturer of wheels and peasant carts, called 'Alco'. After World War II were added to the portfolio of transport for brickworks was added. In the 60s the company focused on the production of boat and trailer business. Since 1972, the organization focuses on the market of specialty chassis and vehicles.
In 1990, special air suspension was designed for light commercial vehicles. In the same year the electric car was introduced on the Dutch market. The Microcar, City El and Volta are then added as an electric car to the range. In 1994 Alco won the Microcar the price for electric car of the year.
Until 1997 Alco was active with its own production and fifteen staff. At that time, Rene Cox decided to sell the company and with his new company, Coxx Mobile Systems, solely focussed on the development & sales of special chassis and trailers. The entire production is housed in a factory with a staff of 35 and a complete and modern machinery.
In 2008 Netras Mobile Systems was acquired. The principal motive was to design the Netras City-L to get a competitive product in the hands of CMS. These technical plans were merged with CMS’ own product to produce LiftBoxx. In 2010 the Liftboxx further developed into what is now the complete product ready for production.
In 2010 also the X-Low further developed into the current product with adaptations from the 35 low-floor chassis. The X-Low is further developed and patented by an aluminum chassis.
In short, Coxx continues to follow the market and develop products which are transport efficient in conjunction with different companies.

Operator
Rene Cox (founder and director) has 39 years experience in the sector. After the death of his father in 1978, he became, at the age of 22, the head of the family business 'Alco', a manufacturer of trailers. Mr Cox had just completed a management training at the Institute for the Automobile Trade (IVA) in Driebergen (Netherlands). Over the past four decades, he has developed many innovative products such as the tipping trailer, special air suspension for the Range Rover and trailers suitable for a BE license.
The strengths of Rene Cox are in the areas of research & development, sales and engineering. Inventing new products has always been a passion for him. He is also very strong in sales and maintaining customer relationships. A sustainable core of regular customers is the best proof of this. With his technical expertise he is able to be in charge of the complete production process.
